For sale, rental and building permits

Energy performance certificate – order from a qualified issuer

An energy performance certificate is required when a building or apartment is sold or rented, and when applying for a building permit for a new building. Only a qualified, registered issuer may draw one up. We prepare the certificate based on a site visit and deliver it electronically.

We prepare energy performance certificates together with a qualified issuer, and the certificate is always registered in the issuer register.

For whom

Estate agents

Certificate ready before marketing. One ordering channel, a fixed price and a delivery time you can promise the client.

Property managers and housing companies

A certificate for the whole building at once for all apartment sales. Invoiced to the housing company, filed in the manager's archive.

Landlords

The certificate must be shown in the rental listing and given to the tenant. Order once, valid for ten years.

Municipalities and public buildings

Certificates for large public buildings must be displayed. Packages for several buildings and uniform reporting.

How ordering works

  1. Order

Fill in the order form or call. We confirm the price and delivery time immediately.

  2. Documents and site visit

We ask for drawings, heating system details and consumption readings. We visit the property and check the structures and technical systems.

  3. Delivery

The certificate is prepared and stored in the national certificate register. You receive it by email as a PDF.

What the certificate looks like

The energy performance certificate shows a building's calculated energy performance and which measures improve its class. Here is an excerpt of a sample certificate's content in Iiva's presentation – not the official form.

Excerpt from a sample. The figures are fictional – a real certificate is based on the building's and the company's own data.

How long is a certificate valid?

Ten years from issue, unless replaced by a new certificate.

What does the issuer need?

Floor plans and elevations or building permit documents, details of the heating and ventilation systems, and access to the property. Consumption data helps, but the certificate is based on calculated energy consumption.

Who may issue an energy performance certificate?

Only an issuer who has demonstrated their qualification and is registered.
